This one's for the LADIES!

TO ALL THE LADIES!

I've been considering offering other options to you besides children's tees! I want designs that can be worn by every single lady-- not just the ones with babies! The design that will be available for pre-order on Monday December 14 would look adorable paired with the "Love you S'more" tee, but it would also be absolutely adorable by itself! Comfy v-neck tees are my absolute FAVORITE, and they're a super hot trend right now! The design will be in black font, centered on a "deep heather" soft ladies cut v-neck. If you don't like them super tight or fitted, I would suggest going up a size! The sizes that I will be offering are S-2XL, and they will all be $22!

I can't wait to see how all of you pair these tees! The gray and black will give you so many different options!

Valentine's Designs 2016

Pre-order for my Valentine designs will begin on Monday December 14! I am listing the prices, sizes, and color choices below for each of you! You can choose any of these colors with either Design #1 or Design #2 (or both if you really love them!!). All of the designs will be written in black font. I'm seriously so excited about seeing these designs on tees! I've been holding them for so long, just waiting to show them to each of you! ALL I want for Christmas are OPTIONS!

MOMS!! I've taken a poll from my customers via Facebook and Instagram, and they have spoken! Moms want more options! The biggest suggestion I received was for another color choice of t-shirt.. I do realize that white gets dirty so easily with littles! And I also agree that it is pretty hard to keep clean! I've posted both designs on my Facebook and Instagram page (THANK YOU FOR YOUR SWEET COMMENTS!), and I've decided to do light pink, white, and red. I am posting what the shirts will look like below! I know my girl moms wanted pink and I had several requests for red! Red and white would definitely be gender neutral!

The short sleeve white will still be $16 and the short sleeve colored tees will be $18. The font will remain black for now.. maybe in the future we will do some swapping around for that too! I'm listing the sizes that will be available below:

YOUTH SIZES

I've had SO many people ask about the larger sizes for their "not-so-little" babies anymore! I decided to contact the vendor, and I am now able to get youth sizes in my Christmas design!

I can get youth small-youth large (these will be white short sleeve tees), and they are $18.00! If this is something that you are interested in, PLEASE e-mail me at alongcameacub@gmail.com, comment on my "Along Came a Cub" Facebook page, or let me know on my Instagram page. I will be placing the order Friday morning and this will be when I send the invoices! All you have to do is tell me your e-mail!

For those of you that weren't able to order the first time or your size ran out too quickly, I'm doing a pre-order for another round before next week!  I've been waiting on this day for so long! I'm ready to officially show you what I've been working on.. Christmas shirts for 2015. The first design of many to come.

{Launch Week: DAY THREE}

DAY THREE

"The girl behind the photos on this page"

While we are waiting for the big launch of shirts on Friday, I want to leave you with an image of my family from our mini session with Nicole on Sunday. These two are absolutely some of my most favorite people on this entire planet, and I'm thankful that I have been entrusted to being a wife to Phillip and a mom to Teddie. It's an absolute joy every day that I get to do this life with them, and I pray that I will always show love and grace in our home as I travel through this journey of motherhood. However, the girl behind this image is just as important to me, and I'm thankful that the Lord has entrusted me to be her friend. She's been there for me since day one, and she doesn't receive the credit she deserves for all of the behind-the-scene work that she helps me with. I wouldn't have this blog or cute stickers (which you will soon see in my packaging) or awesome photos. I can guarantee that the super cute photos and graphics are all her doing, and it's safe to say that I probably wouldn't have much of anything but drawings on paper if it weren't for Nicole. Her encouragement to me and so many others has been such a blessing over the last couple of months, and my prayer is that I can do the same for so those around me! She's such an intentional friend, and my prayer is that you will find somebody like her in your life! So for launch day three, all of my thanks goes to her! I love you, Nicole!

{Launch Week: DAY TWO}

DAY TWO

The story behind the name "Along Came a Cub."

When we found out we were pregnant, we decided we needed an Instagram hashtag for the little baby growing in my tummy. I had AWESOME intentions of taking belly pictures (which I failed terribly at) like everybody else does, but I still wanted a way that I could document those 9 months of pure joy. Knowing my husband's obsessions for lions, we decided around the supper table one night that #Chapmancub would be perfect!! And so it began.. the gifts, the photos, the showers, the nursery, and soon after that... we found out our little #Chapmancub was a GIRL! And for the first time in 20 weeks, we were able to start calling our baby by her name.. Teddie Grace Chapman.

Like I said in my day one post about having big dreams, they didn't become a reality until my little cub entered into this world. I want to do big things for her and our family, and I want to show her that she can do absolutely anything that she sets her mind to! I hope this business will become a way for me to prove that to her and that one day I will able to look back and share the story of when it first began.

{Launch Week: DAY ONE}

                  DAY ONE

Welcome!! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit this website! I am excited about what the Lord is doing in my life, and I'm excited that you are here to share this journey with me! I thought today would be a GREAT day to launch my page and to inform you about what's happened in my life over the past 8 weeks.

Owning my own business is something that I have always dreamed of. I've often thought about what it would be like to own a clothing store, a children's boutique, or simply monogram items from my home. However, my thoughts shifted in this "designing" direction while I was on maternity leave with Teddie. I began drawing whimsical designs during nap time and I would text them over to my friend Nicole for the true "friend criticism." It only took about two weeks for me to fully decide that this was something I could pursue wholeheartedly and LOVE. I could also incorporate my designs into children's clothing, and in an instance, all of my dreams were being played out. All of my designs will be hand-drawn, screen-printed, and inspired from things that I love!

My talents come straight from the Lord, and I pray that this business will allow me to showcase what he has given me to all of you. My first batch of Christmas shirts will be in this week, so please keep checking back for the Launch Week Post of the Day. Oh, and don't forget to look around on this page while you're here! :)

I've already created several designs for the upcoming holidays that I am so EXCITED about! I'm thinking a VOTE may be in order in the future if I can't decide on a favorite! :)

{Launching SOON-- Christmas 2015}

I know most of you Moms have already started planning Christmas outfits.. and if you haven't, you are not alone and you most certainly still have time! The first order of Christmas toddler tees and onesies will be in ASAP and you need to grab one before they're gone! They will start at 0-3 months and go up to 5T.. be sure you're grabbing 2 for matching sibling sets! :)

My inspiration behind the first design was a little "Christmas Vacation-ish" mixed with an old Volkswagen vehicle. There aren't many of us who still go out to a Christmas tree farm and bring a beautiful one home on top of a vehicle, but oh how we can dream and pretend! The design will be in black and white on a solid white tee, and I'm dying to see how all of you Moms style your precious babes! I envision little lumberjack boys in lots of flannel and precious little girls in plaid headwraps and denim!

{Behind the Scenes}

Hey y'all! Welcome to this page!

Let me introduce myself and share my excitement about this little space.  My name is Megan.. I'm a wife, a high school science teacher of 3 years, and a mom to our puppy, Oakley and new baby girl, Teddie. We live in Olive Branch, MS, where we are active members of EastPoint Church, and we absolutely love living life with our church family.

I've always loved to draw and create, and I've always wanted to open my store. Somehow, someway, I always thought I could make it work. However, when our little "cub" entered the world all these thoughts started to flow on paper and I began discussing future possibilities with Phillip and Nicole. They were both extremely encouraging and as a group, we decided to pursue this wholeheartedly. In a short span of 2 weeks, we had come up with a business plan, I had drawn several future designs (including Christmas---coming VERY soon!), and here we are now! 

Thank you for stopping by! My prayer for this business is that you will find precious articles of clothing for your Littles that you wouldn't be able to find just anywhere, and more importantly, that the Lord be glorified in all that I do.
